The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear "Home Entertainment" is the "Home Theater". A home theater project can be a simple flat screen TV with a true balanced surround system or an elaborate lounge complete with theater seating and movie house concessions. Your theater doesn't have to occupy a huge amount of space. just a space typically without windows like a  basement or Attic, and away from bedrooms because of the sound. When these features are not available in your design, Appropriate window blinds and added sound deadening insulation is a must. In most cases, putting the same batt insulation that you put in your exterior walls can make a huge difference with controlling your sound vibrations.

        Don't just plan for your main features in your entertainment areas (the Pool table, the TV, the Bar). There are too many websites to list containing ideas for lighting, furniture and accessories. The warmth and "homey" feeling you can create here can make or break the overall feel of your home.
